Ok, got another question for yall that you might be able to help me with. Yesterday, I noticed one of my back speakers was giving out. Later the speaker stopped functioning completely. I thought it might be blown so I attached another speaker I had to the wires, but that speaker didnt work either. Then today I noticed the front speaker of the same side doing the same thing. If anyone could please help me Id greatly appreciate it. Thanks

the same thing once happeded to my car. When the car was in tuner mode i didnt have any right speakers but it would play in CD mode. It only did this once, I took out the headunit and plugged it back in and it wouked perfect.

it might be a good idea to see if the speakers workwith the orignal radio if you have it

I would suspect that it is your JVC causing the problems

I sort of had the same problems with a problem-child Kenwood I got off of Ebay, only ALL of my channels went out. This one is an Excelon MP3 player, so one would think Kenwood would have taken the time to put the little things in it, like, heat sink grease. NONE AT ALL!! My amp chip is fried in it, and pretty hard to come by. Luckily, this doesnt affect the pre-amp outs on it, so I am just going to have to break down and run three amps instead of one. Ack....more weight :(

If all else fails and you cannot get the speakers to work, I would bench-test it with a set of rca cables and a home stereo to see if you still have pre-amp capabillity, that is, if you dont have an amp in your car already. And if you do end up getting all 4 channels to work again, and if you find there isnt any grease between the amp chip and the heatsink, for pete'* sake, put some in. Your chip will be happy that you did.
