This is what i got, from my previous post. Sorry for the bad quality, camera phones suck! Lo It'* a Pioneer DEH-1300 head unit, 45 watts x 4 max, with front speakers out of an Alero, that have separate mids and tweets (to replace the "dual range" BS speakers in there stock). The rears (also not much to look at) are mocked in Infinity'* from a chrysler t&c, and i just bypassed the amp. They actually worked pretty good in those rear boxes. Both the rear amp and modified sub box are Bose. The amp i'm guessing is putting out 30 watts to the sub, and that'* probably stretching it.l

The sub came from a 199x (not sure exactly) Oldsmobile Aurora, with the Bose acoustimas stereo system. I've modified that with a saw-zall. If you can imagine, originally that piece madeup the reack deck of the car, the sub facing down and the port (can't be seen) facing up into the cabin. Hard to describe without seeing it.
where did you get the speakers from and how much? it would probably be better to with something aftermarket. My buddy has a 98 alero and those stock tweets do sound nice
where did you mount them

The only reason i got those over aftermarkets was because of tight $$ situations. The tweeters are on the speakers, they're co-axial. I just put them in the dash in place of the factory ones. I paid 7 bucks for the fronts and 10 for the infinity'* in the rear, 50 for the head unit and 20 for the amp.sub combo. So i'm not even pushing 100 bucks total.
50 buck is a good price for that HU. I just looked at your sig, have you considered putting in door speakers? down the road you could probaby upgrade the sub and amp using the same bose box. does that box mount up under the rear deck or is it just sitting in the trunk? if its under the deck that would make a nice 6x9 box

No the sub box is just sitting there. I still have the factory boxes in the rear, but only the drivers speakers is hooked up the passenger one i used for the input to the amp. I probably wouldn't use the sub box for anything else, the sub is only ~ 6 inches so it'd be a waste. The amp may be good for something though... We'll see. It outputs 2 channels to the sub (it'* a DVC) so maybe i could get a nice set of 6x9'* and wire them to that, then use those as some good bumpers. Who knows. And ya, tell me about the great deal on the HU. Lol
