Ya but your 03 prolly has bass.......Something you're not used to....now you know what you're missing, the other half of sound lol.

My delco System in my 95 sounded pretty nice before I bypassed my factory amp.

The Bonneville Monsoon system is one of the worst "premium" sound systems I've heard in a vehicle, particularly for the window sticker. For being such an overly engineered collection of parts I really figured they could have done better. The non-bose premium sound in my 98 GTP was far superior to give a comparison.

hey, off topic in my thread is fine by me, conversation is great. yeah, for the hype this thing got when it first came out, not so good. i had a grand am gt with the 7 band eq, and that rocked. the speaker sounded like better quality too. but yeah, most factory set ups are garbage compared to even the cheapest upgrades.

I've heard monsoon systems not only in 00+ bonnes but also in VW'*. IMO, they are crap.

The VW one was better than the bonne but still not something I would keep very long.

yep they are crap only because the power output is lucky to be 10-12 watts RMS per speaker. Most aftermarket head units put out at least 20w rms

that is not true at all.

You can have low power speakers that sound amazing. Poor sound quality has a LOT more to do with the quality of the source and the speakers not the power being outputted to them.
