Default MB Quart

I priced out some MB quart 6x9'* and front 5 1/4 compents recently, i listened to the spekares really well, and well, they are amazing, clear FAR beyond any speaker on the shelf and seem to be built really well
Anyone running them in there cars?
BTW they are pricey, but thats fine lol

toasty runs MB'*

I decided to go CDT over MB, mostly due to price vs SQ

but audio is a prime example of, "you get what you pay for"

i have MB subs, but when speaker shopping i chose Boston Acoustics Components ove the MBs... I love both brands but i like really bright and sharp highs, so i went with the bostons, for a bit flatter sound (which most people prefer) the MBs are just as nice.

opps my bad.

A note for tweeters:

If you fancy sharp(and possibily ear piecing highs you should go with a metal film/cone tweeter. BUT if you like softer not quite as bright highs, you should look for silk tweeters.

I went with silk because I can't stand highs that are extremely bright.

mine have what are referd to as a "3/4" soft dome tweeter" and they are still super bright

MB Quarts are good if you like the crisp highs and good midbase. I have sat in a few cars that had em and was impressed, however I'd get CDT'* anyday over MB, You may also want to check out ED below they are quite the competition for the higher end MB Quarts

their 6500 series is only 250, quite a steal actually....however they are 6.5"

I'm also a big fan of MB Quarts, but also wound up choosing Boston Acoustics for my Bonneville.

Both are great products.

I have a set of 5 and 1/4 inch components, the PRE513'*, they WAIL man. the corssovers are really massive and take up all of the room inside of the door pannel. i highly recommend these speakers and the MB QUART brand. i am running these on a 5 channel 1500 watt clairion amp by the way.
