thereis less volume in my left front speaker. they are after market. why could this be?

is your balance adjustment off center?

also, you have a direct line of sight from the right side speaker, whereas the left speaker fires into your legs giving more of an illusion of being quieter

if it isn't those it could be:

blown/ going speaker
bad channel in the headunit
wiring issue (pinched wire)
or just a loose connector
