Default just wondering

when i turn my aftermarket cd player up past volume level 20, the radio just shuts off. i havent replaced the speakers, so do you guys think that the cd player is too powerful for the speakers? it is 200 watts

I doubt the CD player is 200 watts. That is probably a peak measurement. RMS is probably more like 18-20.

Have you checked all your connections?? Start with the easy stuff first, fuses, connections.

Something doesn't sound right!
