you can also get one that plugs into the antenna directly and is trunk mounted, sometimes this is the better choice. I have had both. I like the trunk mounted one because it does not have to be turned on and off because it is wired to the car. My belkin rf modulator works well but I changed it to a trunk mounted one because of always having to turn the battery operated one on and off (not that big of a deal but i got the trunk mounted one from my friend so I installed it and it was less to mess with when wanting to play my mp3 player) But now i have an AUX channel input so that resolved my problem completely. The rf modulator may have had low batteries if it did not get good reception in the car.

make sure that the volume isnt over 75% otherwise it will distort

Plurr has the best idea here..... years ago before MP3 decks, I used a hardwired FM mod, so that I could play my 64mb MP3 player in my 91 with a factory deck.
