Default Hot Radio......

I noticed that the radio face area and especially CD'* get HOT...is this a normal thing for a stock radio/cd player? :?

Yes, if you keep playing it that loud -I can hear you all the way up I-94 in Sauk Centre.
Yes, if you have the heat on or the cabin temp is very warm and you have the radio really working it will get hot. I had the same experience with my old Clarion CD players -I literally had to wait 30 seconds to remove a cd after it was ejected because it was so hot to the touch. The faceplate was crazy insane hot too. Now with the Pioneer DEH-P4400DH it gets warm, but not hot.

I'll just let my CD "cool" before I touch it! I am going to have to spend money on upgrading the stereo.....AFTER window tinting is marked off the list.

Radio face is lit up. My steering wheel buttons get nice enough to keep finger tips warm in winter.....
