To unlock your radio:
Hold down buttons -&- together for a few seconds and a 3 digit set of #* will appear, then push am/fm and another set of 3 willl appear. write these down.
call 1-800---------
use dealer code -----
follow prompts to enter the 6 digit number
it will tell you the unlock code.
hold down Hr and min together to enter the code, using hr for the first 2 and min for the second 2. push am/fm when done, and the radio will say SEC. repeat and am/fm again and --- will appear and turn it on it is unlocked!
this is how i remember to do it, someone confirm if possible. HTH.

ahhh come on guys, who would risk in waisting their *** in trying to steal a STOCK stereo out of our bonnies? that would have to be a pretty hard up person
I think if i were to become low enough and try to steal a stereo, id more than likely go after a nice aftermarket piece that would sell a whole lot easier. just my opnion

Hide it all you want, guys--but the same info is already out on the net in probably a dozen places--I've found it on both CluGP'* forums, and posted a few times on newsgroups.
If someone really wants to unlock a POS stock delco unit, all they need is a couple minutes, and Google

Good points here. Even if we do conceal it, it'* out there already. In fact, it probably won't be long before GM cancels that dealer code. I'd say go ahead and leave it posted. Kinda like trying to make Crack illegal. Didn't do much good.
To be on the safe side, lets leave it posted for week to allow our members to print/write any info they want, then delete the thread next monday?
Sound fair?
