that stroker will own the RF on SPL only. The stroker is an extremely loud speaker, but the SQ sucks. I would put in the RF because the quality will be better, and I'm not even a RF fan.

I have a T2 and it'* powered by a Directed 750d bridged to 2ohms(rated at 1400w at 2ohms) and it pounds harder and louder then most with 2 and even 3 subs. It'* very important to get a box made! Don't go with the flea market specials with that speaker, you'll blow the box apart! You can also get the Hx2 rebuilt by RF for $180. I did that with my old Hx2 and sold it for $280 on ebay, then bought the T2.

I work in a woodshop. So building a box to either of the sub'* specs is no problem

Hmm... Never thought about having the sub rebuilt. Actually I have a pair of the Hx2'* and the mate to the one I'm still using is sitting in my closet with a burnt coil. That'* an excellent idea. Thanks!

I listen mostly to hard rock. So I think the T2 would be a more sensible choice. I don't really compete or anything either. But bragging rights are always good.

Oh... and my other HX2 pooped out on me earlier today!! One of the coils burnt out. So now I have a pair of Hx2s with 2 working coils instead of 4. I took the other one out of my closet and wired it back in my car. They still sound great...for now. I just need to be easy on the volume.

I plan to get dual 2 ohm subs to get the most power out of that amp.

Good choice. RF always puts out more than listed RMS for their amps, so you shouldnt have a problem running the pair of Dual 2 Ohm T2'*. On the other hand, watch that gain ****!! You dont want it too high.

my other HX2 pooped out on me earlier today

What HX2'* do you have? Dual 2 or 4 and Power or Punch? I hit my Dual Punch 4 Ohm with a 1000W with no problems!!

Soon to be in my Bonne!!

In the beginning (about 3 years ago)... they where 2 brand new RF Punch HX2 12" - dual 4 ohm. I didn't have my BD1500 at the time I bought these subs. They didn't pull a 2ohm load out of the amp like I wanted. But They were all I could afford at the time.

Then about a year later, one of the coils burnt out on me. So i took it out and ran just a single sub. Then yesterday, a coil burnt out on the other sub. So last night, I put the first blown one back in my car, with the one that pooped out yesterday.

Granted only 1 coil per sub functions now... But it still sounds way better than just one sub.

1500 watts RMS going into 2 coils rated at 500watts max. I wonder how long I can milk this setup. LOL

Make sure you are wired at 2 ohms. Series the woofs and paral at the amp. Or your ohms load will be to low for your amp and pop your amp. In another words wire your subs the pos. on one coil to the neg on the other coil neg on the first coil to the pos on the other coil run out the box and bridge at the amp.
