type Rs are good speakers, u may want to consider them if ur more on a budget, 1000 is a lot for an amp and a single 15 a WHOLE lot.

Well I was looking online and I found a JL audio 15w6 for the price that the guy quoted me on for a 15w3... that may be a possibility.

Yeah you can find some good things, just make sure you get some kind of warranty that means something.

If you can get w6 for that price... DO IT!

make sure u match up the ohms right for the sub to amp setup

or is this the jl audio amp that runs a true 1000w at anything between 1.5 ohms - 4 ohms??

the 15w6 is also dual 6 ohm, so u'd run it at 3 ohms.

Either way i think u'd be plenty happy with those setups

What... wait I dont quite know the whole OHM thing yet... so are you saying that, that amp would be good for either of the two subs I pick??

if that amp actually pushes 500w through 1.5 ohms to 4 ohms, then either way would be fine. The dual 4 ohm setup, you would want to run at 2 ohms, while the dual 6 ohm setup you would want to run at 3 ohms.

Either way you should be getting full potential out of the amp.
