Default HELP ASAP!!!! AMP!!!!!

This morning I went to Best Buy and bought a Pioneer 760 watt amp. I got home and started to install it. I get all of the speaker connections hooked up, the positive battery connection, and the ground. The only connection left is the system control remote thingy. My head unit didn't have that, so I looked in the manual and it said "if not there, connect system control to the positive terminal in ingnition switch." What the hell does that mean? This is my first amplifier install so I'm not exactly sure what I am supposed to be doing. That one little wire is the only thing stopping me from getting that thing done. WHERE DOES IT GO?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I would appreciate the help as fast as possible. Thanks.

it should connect to a wire that is only on when the acc power is ON. or when the car is on.

THat wire turns your amp on when it senses voltage and off when there is none.

Aftermarket HU'* have a remote wire output so they can turn amps on and off with the HU.

wire it to something that is on when the car is on. or the key is in the on/acc position

It'* the wire behind the radio that shows +12v with the key in the ON or ACC position. AKA "switched 12 volts". I'd have to consult the book to get you a color or you can check with a test light.

*EDIT* it'* yellow

I'm not actually sure if my head unit has it. It is an aftermarket Pioneer. If it'* on the back of the head unit I will just do that tomarrow. I don't feel like taking everything on the dash off again. The first time, I had to take off the whole dash, and the gauge cluster to get the wires down. It was a pain. But now that I know what I'm doing it won't take long.

Pioneer DEH-P2600m I'm guessing I'm guessing I have it. That means I am going to have to take off the dash tomarrow.

Are you talking about a Bonneville or a Suburban?

I spliced mine into the yellow power wire to the deck. Works fine for me.
