Default Harness under dash

whats this for? its directly under the steering wheel, under the plastic portion of the bottom of the dash. it was getting dark so i couldnt get under and see what it goes to, but i was hiding some wires for my tweeters and felt it, now im curious to find out what its for. nothing is plugged into it....

Do you have buckets or a bench seat? If it'* a bench, and you don't have the center console, it'* probably for all the stuff you're missing.

i have a bench seat....
So what is it? the diagnostic thingy or a plug for all my missing center console stuff?
