i've found closed circuit tv works for me. I have an old minidv camcorder that doesn't talk with my computer anymore via firewire, so I hooked it up via usb. I also put a sign on it that says cctv and an arrow pointing to my roof where the camera is located. .

I know my dad'* bimmer has clifford. It is awesome when it works, which is a rare occaison, and often times it'll set itself off, and then you have a problem on your hands.. such as your car not starting.
