Default GM Vehicle security system100

Hey Everyone I have a GM Good Wrench Vehicle Security System 100 circa 1988. I have recently acquired the installation instructions but found the instructions for programing the 3 digit code were not included. Apparently it was a accessory module that was not part of the basic system. Does anyone know how to program the key pad? (looks just like a telephone key pad) Thanks a million.

This could be obsolete information, but the company that manufactured that system was Code Alarm, and their phone number is (was?) 1-800-421-3209. They are (were?) located in Troy, Michigan. These were dealer installed alarm systems, and were fairly high tech at that time.

VSS 100 (economical)
  • starter kill lockout
  • hooks up to vehicle horn
  • convenient alarm bypass switch
  • Optional: 125 decibel waterproof siren, lite touch adjustable shock
  • sensor, light flasher, keypad.
I hope this response is consistent with what you hear back from all the other forums you posted this question on.

You are very welcome. I took a look at their website and there is a spot to download manuals if you know the exact model number. Also, the phone number I gave you is correct.

I just got off the phone with code alarm. The vss100 key pad is hard programed with a 3 digit code that can not be changed. I was lucky the code is taped on the unit it self. I also scanned the installation and operation instructions in to a PDF file. For anyone that needs them.
