Default Front speakers question.

I have a '92 SSEi with the dual grill speaker things on the door panels.

(on the far left)

I am going to upgrade from the stock speakers soon. So, what speaker size fits in there? Any recommendations? I want some high-wattage speakers since i will probably be amping them some time in the future. What are the highest wattage Pioneer carries for that speaker size? Let me know what you guys think.

LOL, thanks for the compliments guys, i'll post some more interior pics a little later.

So, would a 2, 3, or 4-way 5.25 speaker work? So i don't have to get a new tweeter. What are some good speaker choices?

Default The two tone interior is hot!

How did you do the two tones? you go hunting in a junk yard and find these? hehe

That is hot looking. Personaly IDK about the woodgrain though, I would have gone for one of the tone'* in the car. Just my $0.02

Well it came with the two tones. The only other owner (up to 110k miles) must have ordered it like that I guess. I think that she worked with GM. I have thought about the wood grain, how hard is it to take off the dash? How much work is involved? I could grab one from a junkyard somewhere.

Maybe we could get back on topic too.....

it is so simple to take the woodgrain off...all you need is a screwdriver, and pry around the edges of the woodgrain until it pops out of all the little clips that hold it in.
