Default Front door bass/mids

Hi, I have replaced some aftermarket Polk components with a Xplore 3-way 300W 5 1/4'*. My question is this, because I kept the cross-over and the Polk tweeter am I in danger of blowing the tweeter in the 3 way'* by having them directed through the low end of the cross-over.
