Well i don't understand then, because the rear speakers put out very high amounts of bass, but i want the sound stage up front, and the 5 1/4 comps don't put out anything that you can feel, and it sucks. The stocks had better bass output, but couldn't go past low volumes without sounding like crap. What is so good about amping the speakers? They are already amplified by the deck. So what would be the point other then to get louder music with reduced sound quality?? I don't think the speakers can handle more then what the deck puts out because when you turn it up loud enough you can hear a lot of distortion and it sounds like crap...

Default i have a lot of answers

alright there are quite a few points i have to make
1. yes in certain cars front 6 by 9s are better but when they design the car, they do a lot of research about how different types of speakers would sound best and put in whatever sounds the best and is still economical so u should probly just go with whatever size the factory installed.

2. yes u should deffinately amp them there is no deck out there that can power any pair of speakers enough to make them sound right amping them will make one of the biggest differences.

3.if u want them to sound good u will want to baffle them

4. yes the 6 by 9s do get a little more bass in the rear, but they probly wouldnt get as much bass because they are in a different environment and cant load off of the rear window.

5. if u need some good components i got a pair of ample audio exonics amped and they sound great i got them for 140 and they retail for about 260 if u want more details pm me

Most components need LOTS of power.

I have Infinity Kappas for speakers, rear 6x9s and front 5 1/4. If you made a bracket for a 6 1/2 for the front they'd put the 6x9s to shame. My 5 1/4s don't produce as much bass as the 6x9s, but they get louder. The 6x9s will reach their excursion limit long before the 5 1/4s.

Well i have Infinity Reference front and back, but the comps really suck for bass output. They have nice crisp highs, but very shitty bass. The rears are really good but i prefer to have the bass upfront because it just sounds so much nicer and with a little bit of rear fill to compliment the front. How would you modify the opening to accept 6 1/2???

This looks like you may want to look into a sub.
Without doing some serious dampening and mods to your front doors, the chances of getting quality bass in your front doors are pretty slim.
