Default fosgate P3 or alpine type R

I was just wondering if anybody had an opinion on which one was better. I know that the type r has a high power rating but sometimes that doesnt matter.

i have had greatttt experiences with the p3 mostly due to the fact that they are underrated so if it is a 2000 watt sub for example running 2200 watts thru it is not exactly safe but you can get away with it

both are great subs but the P3'* hit lower frequencies than the r type is capable of. I always find myself coming back to Rockford, you just can't beat them IMO

My Type R is incredibly clear. It doesn't go real low, but it gets the stuff shaking my car. No opinion on the Fosgate as I've never heard it

its hard to say cuz every build/box car etc will make a huge dif. for example if a guy takes and builds a ported box, about oh 4 cubes tuned to about 30-35 with the P3 and same guy built a sealed box about 2 cubes for the alpine. they would sound way way dif from one another. then take and swap subs from ported box to sealed box. the results will be pretty big and then on top of that each car/truck will sound dif too. its just a hard ?? to give a straight answer. and everybody have their own liking with bass. like mine isnt loud enough for me anymore lol but alot of people are impressed when i give a lil demo...*cough DC cough* lol
