Cool video, hey what CD is that?

My buddy has one of those subs running off a old Pheonix Gold, hes worked in a stereo shop for a while. Anyways, he started off sealed (in a Jetta) and sounded pretty good, pouded incredible hard, more than how my 2 10in W7s than he built a slot port box like you did and it was crazy loud. after 3 weeks he went back to the sealed box.

Moral of the story know how much bass you want and plan around it, those Alpine subs get a thumbs up from me if SPL is your thing.

Taylor'* system would have made those pennies bounce 2" in the air.

That'* some big excersion there.

Think I'll have to shoot a crappy quicktime video of my roof flexing with some pennies, they will jump that'* for sure. Got to get it in before I fix that problem with a few layers of dynamat on the roof.

I hate to tell ya but there is no way that sub has a 6" excursion

hell the type r 12 has 7" mounting depth so basically the whole sub would have to come out of the enclosure

It may flex but lets be realistic..
