OK i'll lever with you guys this isn't on my bonne, but it'* on my dad'* ciera and we're all GM brotheren here right? Well the main problem is that his FM reception is TERRIBLE. He has an aftermarket aiwa cd player in it from bestbuy, and ever since i put it in it hasn't come in well at all. His XM radio sounds perfect and AM stations are fine though. Do you have any ideas? I already pulled the radio and double checked the ant. connection on the back and tightened the antenna mast to the base on the fender. It'* not a power antenna either. What do u all think?

could be the headunit because sometimes the tuner in aftermarket radios aren't that great if you dont get one with a good tuner in it. my clarion headunit came with magi-tune+ which helps pick up even really weak stations (it picks up some stations my friends cant even pick up with their really good aftermarket headunits). If the antenna is good and has a good connection then my next guess would definately be the headunit.

Well this unit is really made by sony, even though it'* got a aiwa label on it. I checked the specs for the FM response and they are on par with all the other units out there, within 1 or 2 dB. I'm thinking of trying that ground strap trick.

Yes as plurr said sony now makes aiwa, they started a few years ago. Everything on the packaging in term of copyright info and all says Sony Corporation, even though the box and the stereo are labeled Aiwa. It'* fine with me, sony'* better than aiwa any day.
