Fixing CD Player

Not sure if this is the right place for this post.... Has anybody every had the CD player fixed? If so, how much was it? Is it cheaper/better to get another stero?

Never had one fixed but I think its pretty expensive...
On the older Pontiac stereos... I have been through so many parts to get one stereo to function perfectly.... And the CDM Box for the 5 Band EQ stereo is $175 for a good one... Thats just for the CDM which is the power/tuner/and amp all in one box... I believe that the repair for the CD player is $150+ maybe more...

I wasnt sure if the cost was about the same as getting the wheel piece ($50) plus the cost of a new radio ($100) kinda sucks on trips with only radio, plus the kids are driving me up the wall about this!

i know if you do some heavy searching there are people who fix them, i had a few of my cd players fixed and the most i ever got charged was $25. You just have to find the right person... usually not businesses.
