Have you tried a simple unscrewing motion? Just try gently and see what happens, or maybe they just slide straight up. It has to be pretty simple, just don't apply more force than you think is safe.

I tried to unscrew them today. I didn't give much force at all though. I was too worried I'd break something. I think it would be easier if I took them out and tried it, but I don't feel like doing that. I'll wait until I get a new HU I guess, and see how it sounds :? If I need a 4 channel amp for the speakers I'll do that and see how it sounds before tinkering with the tweeters.

Give your installer guy a call and ask, I'm sure he'll be able to give you a quick answer.

I'll post on some of my audio specialist forums to see if I can get you some more insight.

I'm beginning to wonder if my installer took the directions out of the box. Surely they must have come with instructions. I will definitely try calling him for sure. He knows his stuff.
