Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

I'll make it come out with wing nuts or something...

Umm... What does quality cost? I've seen lightning audio stuff, that'* not quality. I also don't like the sony stuff... I'd like Pioneer at the least but I know there'* a lot of brands I've never heard of.

I've got an aftermarket headunit, Which I'll probably be upgrading soon, the current one scratches cd'* so I have to make sure to only play burns...

I'm looking to also move my speakers up to Pioneer quality as they're crappy.

You'll want something around 150-200w RMS @ 4ohms.

Make sure you build your boxes in mind after taking away the driver'* displacement. A box that'* 1 cubic foot before you drop the subwoofer in, isn't 1 cubit foot afterwards.

A wedge is probly the best shaped box you can build. It deflects the sound coming from the back of the speaker away from it.

I don't even want to guess the displacement of the speaker.... I'm not that much of an audiophile anyway.

'93, I've got a discount and I like the 9600 or higher models. Yours better?

Jach, I have no idea what a wedge is. I was planning on angling the back of the box to have it sit as close to the back of the seat as possible.

Not really, I doubt you can beat my price with shipping and all.
