that is a possibility. Its a little costly but if u were gonna spend $400 on that enclosure anyhow..... I think what u are trying to do can work. but spending $400 to find out it wont, that would be bad.

Im not a pro so i recommend talking to a couple pros. Get on SMD.com and call a couple GOOD audio shops and talk to em about what u have planned. I just dont know if ull have enough volume trying to stuff that beefy sub in the corner of the trunk like that

JL recommends 1.25 cu ft for the 10W7 on a sealed enclosure, and 1.5 for the ported one
im gonna call and check tomorrow, the W5 shallow might be an option

that would save you alot of trunk space, and in the same aspect it could sound alot better than mounting ONE sub in the side of the trunk and the amp on the other

say if you put one sub on each side of the back dash where the stock speakers were supposed to sit then you can mount the amp between the two subs, and build a box that will cover said amp and subs

that way you can save your space, gain good sound and have a nice clean install, the only downside to this idea is that your going to loose some of your vocals and gain bass, but that can be fixed easily with some components up front

if i was in ur shoes sam id go this way over anything else, it seems to make the most sense, but im just trying to give you ideas

yepp, some subs you can get away with that, for instance say if there a ported sub to begin with..a trunk would work as a pretty good box

my buddy took a set of ported kicker comp 12's and mounted them on the back dash of his 97-03 GTP, then mounted the amp between them, and left it like that

sounded pretty damn good to me :D

I used to have a pair of old school 15" Kicker Free Air's But i doubt they would move enough air to be able to use the whole trunk as an enclosure
