what do u have ur remote wire connected to on the back of ur cd player? try connecting a speaker to one of the speaker outs on ur cd player and see if it still does it. if it doesnt then its either ur remote wire or your positive cable (prolly due to having it hooked up to ur fuse block)
btw: Mr. Tunes (custom car audio builders) said that having ur amp hooked up to ur fuseblock can fry ur whole fuseblock.

Not that I've noticed. It'* been going on since day 1 and I've been working against it, but I'll have a look at all the wiring and see what'* up. It'* probably going to be something ridiculously simple.

I'm also wondering why your amp is hooked to the fuse block? You should have it hooked to the battery.

The remote wire is connected to the stock antenna wire, and that goes to the power antenna. I've split that remote wire and have wired it to the amps. Is there a maximum remote wire length?

I'll try out a speaker, sure. I've got a couple spare ones. If it'* not the interior speakers, then it must be the amp either due to the power wire or the remote wire?

I'll definitely switch over to the battery. It'* only a matter of time before I get a dual post one since the one I'm using is on its way out. Could even be this month!

I thought I didn't have room. Soon, very soon. That might even be exactly it!

Google search Pioneer rca ground and then google search pico fuse

Sorry about announcing this problem so broadly. I'm sure that Pioneer is an awesome brand, and as you see, I've had two head units from them so far. They're pretty awesome, but it'* just too bad about the background noise.
Yep, exactly. Iove my Pioneer deck too, I have the P880PRS. I'm not knocking Pioneer at all, sorry if I came off that way.

And unless you have a P880PRS or better, you haven't even scratched the surface on the adjustability Pioneer has in their decks. That P880 is an audio tweekers dream

Yup. He seemed pretty confident in his external grounds so that'* why I suggested grounding the rca'*. I hope that takes care of it cause I know how irritating that sound is.

I have come back from driving the Bonneville, but I don't have a model number. I was too excited once I saw how well the wax went on. Pics tomorrow. I should be back with the model number by the time the next post is made in this thread.

I didn't think you sounded like you were knocking Pioneer, and actually I thought I sounded like I was. Oh well, we're all set now. First thing tomorrow, after pictures of the freshly waxed Bonneville, are pictures of the radio work. And pics of the grounds to make sure I'm doing well.
