Default Changing sound systems

Hey I was wondering, if I upgrade my stereo, is there a way to still be able to use the steering wheel controls or is that lost once you change systems. When searching around various web sites looking for cd players, I havent seen anything written about it I thought maybe one of you guys might know, thanks.

yes the headunit needs to have a remote....if you have that then you can get a PAC SWI-x, and retaild the steering wheel controlls

Looks to be the same as a PAC SWI, only more expensive.
