Default car won't start after attempting to install sony head unit

The other day i decided to let a friend of mine put a head unit into my 1997 ssei.As he was doing this some wires behind the radio began to smoke. Now the car will not start and the windows do not work. It seems as though everything else in the car works(lights,etc.0. We tried to give the car a jump but that did not work as well. Then when we checked all of the fuses we could not find any blown ones. If anyone has any insight on what the problem may be your help will be greatly appreciated

did he just continue to install the HU and not check into what was burning?!?!

you need to get in there and see what happened... might even be necessary to pull the dash off

sounds like maybe an ignition wire was burned? Does the car even turn over?

Check the Ignition fuse should be a 50 Amp (most likely under the hood), either way I would pull out the deck and see why it shorted.

nope the engine doesn't even turn over. if it was an ignition wire how much would that cost to replace?
