I am putting my subs back in after some problems with the car. I was thinking of putting only one 10" in the back instead of 2. Also was gonna get a bandpass box for it to increase the loudness. What do you guys think.

I'd avoid a bandpass box. Any decent 10" or 12" in a ported, or even sealed box will be plenty loud. Bandpass boxes are one note wonders, i've used one before, and it'* hard to tune.

I would go with a ported box than any of them. But you will have to find out after building the box what freq. the box is built for.

2 tens was too much with stock speakers. The bass was draining out all the mids and highs off my regular speakers.

Couldnt you just turn down the gains on the bass & turn up the other gains.
