I have tried that. Its ok, but I would rather have less weight, more heavy hitting bass. When the gains are down on the 2 bass, it sounds muddy, kinda washed out. One ten with the gain up, should sound more crisp.

Did you disconnect one of the subs and try it out & see how one 10 sounds. This is of course the box has individual chambers. Ill agree sealed was always the way I like to make my boxes.

I believe that it does not have individual chambers. The other thing that might impact sound for me, is the fact that I have seperate amps running each sub. I have heard that this is hard to tune, but it did sound decent, just too loud, like I said.

Definetly get a sealed chamber dual sub box for harder hitting bass. Otherwise you're fighting for air if not bui;t perfectly and custom for the sub.

I'd say just get something simple like my setup. 2 10" JL w0'* in a sealed box. I have a nice big DEI amp running them, and could step up to one single high powered sub if i wanted with it, but these sound great! I'm running stock speakers now, my bass is @ 0, my treble is @ 0 and my fading is to the front 2 out of 15. My subs don't overpower them at all, but i could make it all bass if i wanted.

Hmm, well after everything I decided to leave my sub setup as it is. From the sounds of it, I am getting a HU, to get better sound off my stock speakers. Thanks for all the input guys.

Well, I have a low frequency hum from the woofers. When my volume is completely down, I still hear a hum from them. Usually on the radio, and on some songs from cds. It seems to happen randomly so I do not believe that its engine noise.
