Default Battery for amps in back???

I heard that instead of getting a cap, one can get a quick charging battery for like $70 that will help with amp draw on the Alt? As a cap costs about the same, what are your opinions?

I wouldn't do either. Try running off the alt itself, not the battery, or getting a beefier alt.

correct it has to be vented because of the poisonous gasses that some batteries release

I hear these are a good choice for systems, for price and performance http://www.odysseyfactory.com/default.htm, cheaper than optima and comparable some say their even better ,wish I would have seen heard of these first.

Caps don't relieve stress on the battery system, they just make your headlights stop from dimming, in my case, i only dim @ idle.
