Default Back to the factory alarm

So after my 97 go stolen with a after market alarm i had a question. My factory alarm always locked and unlock the doors and even had the trunk and panic function working but the only thing is that when i armed the car it did respond to a bam on the door or even when i tryed to lift the handle to open it. It wouldnt sound the alarm, so i was wondering could any one help me wire or rewire the factory alarm so that it will work correctly.

i dont think it activates unless you use the remote or the key itself. for instance, leave the windows openand lock the car and wait till the security light goes out. then, reach in and unlock it. the alarm should sound either then or when the door is opened

IF you have a factory alarm it works like this.

If you lock with power locks/keyless, and move the slider manually, it will go off.
