those things are kind of expensive to the point were if you just have a normal car an aftermarket radio would be a better option. if the wire into the hu itself thing sounds good it will be minimal cost

well i pulled mine apart found that i doubt i can wire it directy to it, its about 20 little white wires and cant tell where they go.

the info said there was like 4 wires that go from the cd to the amp section, you say theres just a bunch of white ones?

To my knowledge, PIE makes auxiliary input adapters that fit most GM cars with CD changer control. There is a "GM9" connection, prevalent in Chevrolet and Pontiac head units (pre-2000 or so, depending on the model, E&C Data protocol), and a "GM12" connection used in Class 2 Data units that are not "dock 'n lock." The 1996 Oldsmobiles used double-DIN head units with a 32-pin connector, blue in color. These were E&C head units but as far as I know, PIE does not make an adapter for those types of radios.
