Hi. Okay, bear with me on this! Below are my audio plans for my '91. Everything listed I have already in a big box in my dining room and is going into my Bonne. All I need to buy are a capacitor (maybe?) and a good set of 6x9s for midrange and highs. Any suggestions are appreciated.
-Aiwa head unit w/rear RCA pre-out
-Sony Xplod XM-745 800w amp (4 channel)
-Sony Xplod xs-w4621 4x6s 120w
-4-Gauge 1,000 watt amplifier install kit
-2 Rockford Fosgate 12" Punch Z woofers (might get different ones)
-2 bass blockers for front speakers
Does anyone forsee any problems with this setup? Thanks in advance for your help!
I just need to figure out where to run the power wire through the firewall so I can power my amp. :( The amp will also power the 6x9s whenever i get a good pair.

Since you got the RF'* for the doors, whats to stop you from going with RF for the 6x9s? Personally I'm a Pioneer man for the rear deck speakers. They made my 89 SE rock and was the best bang for the buck.

Sounds like a plan; I've always preferred Pioneer 6x9s. I'll go looking for a set later today I guess. Thanks for the reply!!

ive got pioneers for my 6x9'* and rockford for the components. the rockfords are decent but the tweeters are easily staticy if too much sound goes to them. i just divert the sound a few notches to the 6x9'*. solves that pretty well!

sadly i just found some pioneer components at best buy. they sound a lot better then the rockfords and im pretty pissed that i bought the rockfords now... oh well!

I would stick with the same components & 6x9'*. You could also add 6 1/2'* in the door. Thats what I did and increased the sound alot.

I dont really trust aiwa too much i would choose another cd player.

Looks good. Aiwa headunit will be fine. For 6x9s, you can go with any high quality speaker. To match the front RF'* in tonal balance, I'd maybe find a good used set on EBay, of if you have the $$$ you can buy new.

Then u have either gotten lucky or really taken care of urs. Aiwa uses low tolerance internals and inexpensive parts to build thier equipment.
