Hey All,
Well, after dealing with an antenna that didn't expand to it'* full height for a while, now it won't come up at all any more.
I would just as soon replace it with another power unit, unless anyone thinks it might be repairable. Because I fear that it'* not going to be cheap, since I looked into replacing the one in my Regal quite a few years ago, and couldn't justify the price at the time.
And on top of that all, seems every time I go to the u-pull-a part lot, the antennas are already gone from the Bonnevilles I find.
Anyone have a part number, or any tips on servicing the power antenna??

mine never worked since i got it, some idiot put the wrong kind of antenna in, cudnt plug into the car, i used to be able to push it up and down but then one day it stopped, earlier today i took it out and torw it apart, tunre dout the nylon cable had snapped and end was jammed keeping it form moving, i removed the motor and cut off the cable, attached the water drain to the bottom of the empty shaft with electrical tap, and pinched the end of each segment so it was tight enough to stand up on its own, now its just a regular push/pull antenna

Does yours stay in the up or down position? Mine got stuck in the up position and I just unplugged the motor.
A new one from the dealer will run about $100 I think...definitly worth replacing with a non-motorized one.

Eh, Mine'* stuck in the down position, so reception is suffering as well as me just knowing it'* not working right.
Just quit one day. Then after a week and a half, it worked one day, just like always.
Now it'* back to being stuck in the down position.
Is it just as simple as applying 12v to the terminals? So I could try and troubleshoot if I'm getting any juice that'* trying to operate it. Or if I have to bench-test a replacement.
