Default Another Radio Question

I am heading out to the local wreckers this week and was wondering do I have to replace my 2000 Bonnie factory radio with another 2000 Bonnie radio or can I use a 01-05 Bonnie Radio? Is there any other GM car radios that are compatible with the Bonnie??
Thanks in advance.

I am unsure for the bonneville but most GM Radio'* are year specific and car specific. With this being said, I did see a owner of a 2008 Cobalt SS install a 2008 Corvette head unit. If I remember correctly though there was ALOTTT of time/money/work involved...

Any radio you find should be Theftlocked once you pull it out, needing to be unlocked by the dealer. Why not try to find a newer one so it has more features?
