Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

Another Angel Eye question (about wiring this time)

1993 SLE, Those are awesome pics!

btw1217, You should still be able to find a way to put those "eyes" only, on RAP. We need a FSM for 92 so that we can look over some schematics to locate a good place to tap in.

Red constant for 92-95, i used this wire from my aftermarket radio, sweet and simple, run a new line out of the car to the angels, tap in with both lights and good to go, get fancy and put a switch after the power source and maybe even an led so you know when the eyes are on or off, thats the simplest, just make sure the wires are conected and sealed good or you may get a short,

i have color changing ones that change like my underlights, so its like a defense mechanism
tons more pics on http://www.cardomain.com/ride/300261/3 to show the colors and there might be a couple of pics on page 4 (all bulbs are blue now not yellow sorry for the lack of updating). i love my foglights but i barely ever use them because i love showing off these things. only problem with the 7 color ones is that if you want to extend any wires you will have to extend 6 more than the regular ones (trust me i did it) i just tapped my power for the fogs from the stock location and used a switch for the other ones (since they change colors you kinda need the switch) and everything is killed with the engine so no battery drain.

If I run the outer ring from the head unit power wire, will it take away power from the head unit and cause the audio to suffer or decrease in performace in any way?

well basicall you will tap into the ign wire for the radio which turns it on only when the car is on but it also has another +12v wire that actually supplies the power to the radio so it shouldnt effect it.

The angel eyes or halos are only small led'* and shouldn't draw enough extra above the radio to blow the fuse. However this is not a recommended way to connect other things that require higher power.
