You'll need a new battery terminal. I just bought one today for my 2000. I only needed the short version, whereas you will need the double post (long) version.

Just get one or should I get a second one too? Does it matter if its Chrome or Gold? This is one I found, is this a good buy?

24 Ct Gold SideMount
Total is $4.48 with shipping

Or would this one be a better buy for only $2.95 total?

The first one will give you a cleaner install (in my eyes) since it has a bolt that screws into the end as opposed to the nut/bolt setup as the 2nd one does. As far as price, I paid $10 for the one I got just because I didn't want to keep driving around town to get the parts I needed. Best Buy had the one I needed for $6 but due to some confusion I tried to find the longer version and they didnt have it.

they are available at autozone and other auto parts and car stereo stores too...

They are real easy to install... take out the bolt in the stock terminal, install new double post bolt
