Aftermarket Radio/T.V - Page 2 - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

wut ever wire you r tryin to use to your signal, run that to the switch and then jus ground it with its own ground. It'll act the same if your were to wire it to the parking brake !

So you just want to me take that wire and connect it to the ground wire that is already connected to the radio ground wire so all together you want it to have 3 wires connected.? Or I can split it and use the switch

Ok, this is how I have mine.. I have the parking brake override wire tied to the ground on harness. And, the wire itself is tied to a homemade fuse box that I connect a 5 amp fuse when I wanna watch a dvd. It works. But, it is illegal. So, I don't recommend that you do that. BTW, my head unit is a Dual. (Wal-Mart cheepy)
