Default Metron GMOS-5 aftermarket radio hook up now available !!!

I spoke to a rep for Metron about the docking harness for after market stereos he said it should be done real soon. There trying to get vendors interested and ordering them, so far he said its not been good. He didn't say how much it would cost but I want one bad. Hopefully someone will buy them and make them available

What are you calling a docking harness? You can have an aftermarket radio now, I have one and so do several other +2000 bonnevilles. Just have to wire diferently.

A harness that well keep everything working. Tricking the computer into thinking that the factory radio is still there. Which keeps the door chimes..

I don't know why that'* what I was wondering. I know they do have the website. Hopefully they will put it on the site. I would rather have the harness were I don't loose any function in my car, so I can still use my steering wheel controls. Hey anyone know how many watts the factory radio puts out?

I talked to someone from there today. The will be getting back with me on Monday. If I don't hear anything by 2pm I will call them. I also talked to the installation manager here at the dealership andI will be trying to find a way to put an order in if I can not buy them individually. I will post an update on Monday

These kind for OEM set ups have been out for over 10 years you think someone in the aftermarket would what to cash in.

Just heard the unit has been released for our 2000 and up. Your supposed to be able to keep all your functions on the radio, on star etc!

That part has just become available. Your local car stereo store should be able to order those for you now.

Yeah I was wondering the same thing, there are 6 compatiable parts that come up:
40-VW12 AntennaWorks AFTERMARKET RADIO TO ANTENNA
40-VW20 AntennaWorks RADIO TO AFTERMARKET ANTENNA
40-VW21 AntennaWorks RADIO TO AFTERMARKET FLAT ANTENNA
40-VW30 AntennaWorks ADAPTERS FOR CD
99-2001 Turbo BUICK/OLDSMOBILE 1994-UP - OVERSIZE GM RADIO
99-3301 Turbo CHEVY CAVALIER, IMPALA, MONTE CARLO 2000

Which product(*) would we need for this to work?
