I'll try to post some pics of it within a day or two. I really like the HU b/c it matches the dash lights. That was very important to me. Also, the 2 12" I put in really pound. Everything sounds great!

if you use a volkwagon antenna adaptor you will not have to cut the adapter. my radio does not stick out a inch or two from the dash. it is maybe a half inch but it barley goes past the trim panel. also that is the right cable i used the same on is model number gm07. you will have to run a switched 12 volt to the radio though because the one on the harness does not work.

you're right about the switched power. The installers who did mine ran a hot +12 right from the ignition.

you will loose the factory chime (open door, lights on, low fuel, etc.). Depending on which system you have you may loose more (I did'nt). Remote turn on works fine.
