So i got all i needed to hook upmy 12" Type R and Hifonics amp.. NICE 4 ga wiring.. Ect.. i hook it all up and i still have issues. I have it wired to 4 ohms but still not as much bumps as i should have.. and at louder volumes my amp cuts right out. Pretty sure its a ground issue i connected my ground wire to my antenna bracket... that all i could find. there is no where else to connect it!then i stood my amp on end to connect my sub wire and i broke my RCA'*. I feel defeated.. Ive been messing with this stereo for weeks with one problem after another. and i know car audio like the back of my hand. I think im trading my 2 Yellow Tops for 2 12" Audiobahn Aluminum Subs with dual 3 ohm voice coils.
your antenna? you need to find another ground FAST!! thats worse than grounding it out on the seat belt for the back seat..make yourself a ground its not that hard..all you need to do is drill a whole sand both sides of the whole..put a bolt and washer with the wire underneath it..then put a nut and washer on the bottom side...then that way its grounded through the whole car and not to mention its using its own ground thus making it louder
