If this helps, the premium stereo in 92+ had components front and back, and the woofer cone of the 6x9 in back could have their power adjusted via the slider below the radio.

You know that little slider thingy on the dash? That powers extra coils in the 6x9'*. They are subs. Weird eh?

Hmm, thats wierd, I have premium sound, and yet do not have a slider thingy. Maybe its just for the previous generation. I wonder then if my 6X9'* have subs in them as well.

If you dont have the slider you dont have them. When i finally do a Infinity Bass Link sub im going to go off the left and right speaker out sub lines. So then the slider will work for my sub volume

I run that into my sub amp also, so I've got easy access gain control.

I'm all stock, and when I slide the gain above half, I get horrible distortion. Are my speakers blown, or were all of these cars that pitiful? I do have great sound under half gain though.
