Can't tell if you already pulled the trigger??? If not, don't buy the headunit. I know a buddy with that exact one with under 5 minutes on it because it doesn't fit in a GP.

Now.. my 00 Regal buddy. What you need for an install is simple. Get the scoshe wiring adapter, the antenna adapter, an Axxess module to retain the steering wheel controls and the cheapo double din bracket. Then if I may suggest ... the backup camera is primo. Oh..and scoop a relay somewhere if you want to have DVD while driving.

Adding the usb to the back was a "hide iPod in center cubby" decision. The backup camera is amazing at night. It see'* better than I can.

I did actually pull the trigger. Why doesn't it fit?? I suppose I can cancel my order at some point today if I call them. The AVH-P3200B doesn't seem to be anything more than a Bluetooth version of the one I bought. Are they really supposed to be that different?

it doesn't fit in his GP. It'll fit great in a Regal. I saw a chance to save you some money by getting it from him.

Oh, and I picked up 100ft of copper 4 AWG wire for $50 shipped. Beat KNU'* price by a landslide. I'll double up the wiring to make up for the size difference and instead of replacing engine bay wiring, I'll just add another on top.

I did order the Axxess steering wheel controls, and a Metra Electronics 70-2001 harness.

I decided for the rear speakers to go with 4 Dayton RS100'*. They'll be severely overpowered, but I'll probably cross them at around 120.

Hang on Tex..I'm textin him. It'* pretty easy to beat Knu'* prices, the problem is the quality. Their power cables are amazingly flexible etc. Awesome quality and running a 5 channel amp, I had worries about power etc. No worries at all in the car.

Well this was a pleasant surprise. The head unit came in yesterday. I ordered the P3200DVD and they sent me the P3200BT. Free upgrade!

Seriously..I like this HU a lot. Overy easy to work with and it sounds good through the Bostons.

Awesome. Should sound good through the Boston Amps I got (which came in as well) and the Massive Audio RK6 front comps. The fun part will be getting those comps to fit properly in there. I might end up just making MDF baffles and sealing them very well, and lining as much of the doors as possible with sound dampening. At 250W RMS each, those components should hit very hard.

For the rear deck, I've changed my plans entirely. I realized rear sound will be questionable at best due to reflections, so instead of a couple of mediocre speakers, I'll be installing 8 (yes, eight) of these:

Neodymium motors allow for very low distortion and high output. I have already tested these free air and they do get very loud, very cleanly, and they sound great doing it. I also picked up two tweeters and some capacitors to rig together some resemblance of a crossover. The 3.5" drivers are capable of playing full range and won't need one. I'm thinking I'll just build mini sealed boxes with 1/2" MDF for the rear deck for these. Rated at 20W each, 160W for all 4, I should have exactly as much power as I need out of the GT-50.

I used KnuConceptz for the wiring. And it'* awesome.
I used SecondSkinAudio for their version of dynamat and their Sludge product. I pulled uh...everything but the dash, literally. Sludge in in all the doors (yes the windows and regulators were pulled). and the trunk lid too. Because I yanked the Monsoon system, I put the power wire into the wiring harness and out the passenger floor grommet by the ps rack (it'* originally for the wirign harness, I piggybacked). Then along the frame to the battery totally out of sight.

You will need to cut the back of the dash out. Be careful..directly behind it is the airbox of the HVAC system.
