Default 2000+ factory amp

Where is the factory amplifier for the 2000+ models located at? I'm looking to remove the factory amp and wire in my own (higher powered) for aftermarket speakers. the factory amp probably won't power the aftermarkets that well. I'd rather do this in the trunk than cut the harness behind the radio. I am assuming that my aurora and the Bonneville have it setup the same (non bose systems only.) Can you tell me if this is the amp, and does anyone have the wiring schematic so I know what all the wires are so I can do this project? I'd rather not cut wires and guess as to what exactly they do.. thanks!

BTW, I asked here instead of over to the aurora board because they really aren't into upgrading the stock audio... at all. The stock stereo is not so great on this car though and it needs to be upgraded. I think I'm going to keep the stock cd player though for a stealth look and only up grade the speakers at all 4 corners. The fronts are 7" components (very rare size.) and the rears are 6x9'*.

Interesting... Mine has the little black box on the left, but none of the other stuff on the right.

alright, 1993 SLE was right. The non-Bose system in the 2000+ Bonneville does not have an external amplifier. I just figured if the Aurora had one the Bonneville would too, it seems that I am wrong though. It does have the same box on the left side, but the two on the right my brother'* does not have. The bose amp on my mom'* SSEi is on the driver'* side right below the smaller module and it'* black.

I believe the boxes on the right side are the On-Star system.
