Default Wiring Aftermarket Amp in 2000 SE

Hello again everyone!
OK, I've replaced everything associated with my sound system but the stock deck. At the moment I'm wanting to install my 4 channel amp for my fronts and rears. Does anyone know where a good spot would be to intersect the output wires from the factory head unit? I thought I read somewhere that you could find them behind the driver'* side kickpanel. Am I full of beans? If someone had some advice it would be great.

i would run your speaker wires from the amp and connect them right behind the radio in the harness, that woud be your easiest place to locate them all at once

don't all Bonnevilles 2000+ have a factory amp? It is behind the back seat behind the plastic panel. I was just going to post a question about this too.. I want to bypass the factory amp and install my own (bigger) amp in my Aurora. I do not know what wires do what though. Ineed a wire schematic. Does any one know anything about the factory amplifier on the 2000+, it'* location, and what all the wires do? This is for the non-bose system..

I've already taken out both back seat pads, the sail-panels, the rear deck cover, and the plastic cover in the trunk. I didn't see anything that looked like a GM amp.
I think I read that the 2000+ Bonnies with the cd player have a ribbon cable connecting to the stereo. True? No Bose here either.

On the 2000+ with the BOSE system, the amp is mounted on the back wall of the trunk, driver'* side, under a big plastic false-wall. It'* real easy to get to everything...all speaker wires, remote power switch, etc.

Plus, since the car'* battery is under the back seat, running power to a trunk-mounted amp is easy too.

right but this is for the BOSE only, the Delco system does not have an amp
