I think I have some of that stuff. I got it at work. It has a black coating on it though. I think it could be sanded off though.

Have you tried a lumber supply store yet? i dont think any big hardware chains would carry it.

Unless your gonna have a 13W7 or something similar. Other wise the box will flex when the bass hits. Also if you use to many screws youll actually weaken the box. I normally go about every 3-4 inches.

1" MDF is basically required for the W7. If you don't use it, or pair up 2 boards, you're asking for trouble. 2 1/2 boards may work, but they won't be as strong as 1", and you'll need to clamp them together.
