Default Wheel wobble/vibration when accelerating AND turning right

I have a 2001 SE, it has lots of miles, 154K. It developed a wobble that turns into a vibration but only when turning right AND accelerating. A mechanic told me that he thinks it is a problem with the rack and pinion, but since it only does it while accelerating, I'm second guessing him thinking it may have something to do with the wheel drive.
Is this new and does anyone have any ideas or experience with this?

This being my first post here, so far I've had an oil sensor gone bad, what sounds like a bad right back strut and the seemingly universal back window regulator problem times two.

Is that something I could do at an auto hobby shop or is it shop only and how much was it?
