It'* time again to do some maintenance on my Bonne. I'm replacing the oxygen sensor(still original), serpentine belt, and the valve cover gaskets. I'm wondering if they are as easy as they look, well except the back one. Do I need anything special besides the gasket? I'm an idiot and didn't do them while I had my LIM'* replaced.

They're not super hard, no. Its basically gaskets and then felt washers.

I think you mean grommets rather than felt washers?

Since you'll have to remove the alternator/tensioner assembly to remove the rear valve cover, be sure to drain the coolant first and have a new set of plastic coolant elbows on hand.

Should I replace or reuse the grommets? Dammit, I just drained the coolant about a month ago, I should've done this with my LIM.

I went and got the Gatorback belt, new Fel-Pro gaskets, but nowhere around here sells Delco oxygen sensors. About the only choice anywhere is Bosch. That'* at Advance Auto, Auto Zone, and Napa here in town. None of them carry Delco oxygen sensors.

I was able to find a Delco sensor in a town nearby. I replaced the valve cover gaskets and all the moisture that shows up on my oil fill tube disappeared today and hasn't showed up one bit. The biggest improvement though, is the oxygen sensor. Holy crap, my car can take off. It'* never had this kind of performance. I have never fought a part to get out as hard as that sensor though. It took almost three hours to get out because of how froze it was. I sprayed it down with PB Blaster and sat with a cheap air gun until it finally broke loose, and when it came out the tip was almost a jet black. Well worth the time.
