I removed mine last year when I did the rockers.
You will have to remove alternator and the 3 bolts that hold its tensioner bracket to the engine, then carefully without dislodging the coolant elbows move the bracket enough to clear the rear cover.

I would recommend doing the LIM at the same time. It'* not that much extra work.
